Łukasz Kaniewski

Creative Editor and Writer – “Przekrój” Magazine

In high school, Łukasz was the class clown, and therefore he was always destined to become a journalist. Before his destiny was fulfilled, he spent several years studying philosophy, which allowed him to meet a lot of extraordinary people and to learn the routes of most night buses in Warsaw. After graduating, he began grinding away in big and small editorial teams. He survived two headquarters with the daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, and another two headquarters of the monthly magazine Focus. After hours, he ran a children’s magazine Czarodziejska Kura, where he published a lot of poems, two of which were about numbers.

He specializes in science journalism, as that’s the only thing that can save him from his untamed imagination. He loves playing guitar, especially the E major chord. His favourite writer is Roth (Joseph, not Philip), but he understands that his works might not appeal to everyone. His lifelong dream is to learn how to silently sneeze.
