Stanisław Bereś

is a historian of literature, as well as a critic, essayist and translator. A professor at
the University of Wrocław, he has authored more than 30 books on literary studies, and book-length interviews with writers (including Tadeusz Konwicki, Stanisław Lem, Andrzej Sapkowski). He was the editor of the television programmes “Telewizyjne Wiadomości Literackie” (1996–2011) and “Latarnik” (1997–1998). A longstanding member of the jury for the Nike Literary Prize and the Angelus Central European Literature Award. Editor-in-chief of the series “Biblioteka Narodowa”.
