Małgorzata Szejnert

One of Poland’s most important non-fiction writers and editors, shaping a generation of Polish literary reportage. She has published award-winning books on topics as diverse as the crimes of the communist security forces in Poland, the history of Zanzibar, and the Belarusian Polesye region. “Ellis Island: A People's History” is her first book to have been translated into English.
